A Mississippi Genealogy & History Collection
Services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Quigley-Moore Chapel for James William Davenport, 40, of Austin, Tex., formerly of Hattiesburg, who died unexpectedly Thursday at San Antonio while on a business trip.
He was a salesman with the U.S. Rubber Co, and was a native of Hattiesburg.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Iris McVay Davenport of Austin; three daughters, Deborah Lynn, Charlotte and Karen, all of Austin; his mother, Mrs, W. R, Davenport of Hattiesburg; one brother, Herman Reedy Davenport of Hattiesburg; one sister,. Mrs. La Verne Jones of Pascagoula; his grandmother, Mrs, J.S. Kinley of Kilgore, Tex.; his step-grandmother, Mrs. Minnie Davenport of Hattiesburg; three nieces and two nephews.
