Services are 10:30 a.m., Tuesday March 23, 2010 at Carnes Missionary Baptist Church for Delphia Lott Reid, age 94, of Carnes who died March 19, 2010 at her residence.
Mrs. Reid was a homemaker, an avid flower grower, and a lifelong resident of the Carnes Community area. She was the oldest member of Carnes Missonary Baptist Church at the time of her death. She was the last surviving child of the late John Russell Lott and Susan Davis Lott of Stone County.
She is survived by five daughters; Betty (Buford) Smith of Wiggins, MS, Virginia (Bill) Watson of Carnes, Peggy (Don) O'Neal of McHenry, Linda (Darryl) Stringfellow of Wiggins, MS, Sherry (Larry) Herwick of Maxie; two sons, Hubert Reid, Jr. (Betty) of Carnes and Dr. James Glennis Reid of Carnes. 21 Grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Reid, Sr., two sons; E.W. Davis, and Johnny Reid; two grandchildren, Stephen Walter Reid and Lori Ann Herwick.
Visitation is 6-9 p.m. Monday March 22, 2010 at Moore Funeral Home in Wiggins. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday before the service. Moore Funeral Home Wiggins is in charge of the arrangements.
