Graveside services are scheduled for 3 p.m. Friday at B'Nai Israel Cemetery in Hattiesburg for Irving Schwartz, 83, of Pensacola, FL, who died September 18, 1996, at his home in Pensacola.
Rabbi William Schwartz and Rabbi Israel Vana will officiate.
Pallbearers will be David Lipkin, Alan Pesnell, Bill Spievy, Donald Spencer, Howard Ordon, Dr. Ronald Schwartz, Stanley Schmerkin, and Kenneth Koch.
Mr. Schwartz, a native of Fort Worth, Texas was a resident of Pascagoula for the past 10 years. Mr. Schwartz was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a former professional musician. He was a retired jeweler and a member of the B'Nai Israel Congregation in Pensacola, FL and was a Mason.
Mr. Schwartz was preceded in death by his sister, Eleanor Brenner and his brother, David Schwartz.
Survivors include his wife, Terry Dreyfus Schwartz of Pensacola, FL, formerly of Hattiesburg; two sons, David Schwartz of New Port Richey, FL and Dr. Joseph Schwartz of Schererville, IN; two sisters Thelma Bobbe of Chicago, IL and Estelle Tharler of Boston, MA; and three granchildren.
Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Friday Hulett-Winstead Funeral Home in Hattiesburg.
Hulett-Winstead Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
