STERLING, VA - Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Brooklyn Cemetery for Opal Shattles Stevens, 80, of Sterling, Va., and formerly of Hattiesburg, who died July 4, 2004, in Sterling.
Mrs. Stevens was a retired office manager and a member of Sterling United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, W.W. "Buster" Stevens, and a son, John Stevens.
Survivors include a son, Rodney H. Stevens Sr. of Apopka, Fla.; a daughter, Gwyn Hubble of Sterling, Va.; two brothers, Herschel Shattles of Hattiesburg and James "Jose" Shattles of Fountain Valley, Calif.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Hulett-Winstead Funeral Home in Hattiesburg is in charge of arrangements.
