John "John T." Thompson, 77, of Petal, died March 29, 2013, at his home.
Visitation will be Monday, April 1, 2013 at the Salvation Army Church from 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. with services immediately following. Burial will be in Carterville Cemetery.
John T retired from Corner Market in Petal after a long career in the grocery business. He was a member of the Salvation Army Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hardy D. and Edna Thompson; two brothers, Dr. William Thompson and Dr. Robert Thompson; and a granddaughter, Macey Schoedel.
Survivors include his wife, Irma Thompson of Petal; two sons, Gary Ray Miller and David R. Bennett both of Petal; four daughters, Carolyn (Robert) Colvin of High Point, NC, Catherine Evelyn (Tommy) Roberts of Seminar y, Roxanne (Gerald) Turan of Saucier and Renae (Dan) Schoedel of Shrewsbury, PA; 19 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
