PRENTISS, May 15 Bennie Polk, who lived in the Clem community Jeff Davis county, died at his home on Tuesday afternoon after an illness of pneumonia which attacked the young man in both lungs.
Mr. Polk was 37 years of age and was the son of the late Homer Polk. He was married several years ago to Miss Grace Terrell, daughter of Joseph Terrell, former member of the board of supervisors of Jeff Davis county. He was a member of the Antioch Baptist church, from which funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. J B. Quin, pastor.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Grace Polk; children, Marguerite, Delmas, Cecil and Frances Nell Terrell; his mother, Mrs. Homer Polk, Prentiss; two brothers, Claude and Terrell Polk, Prentiss; four sisters, Mrs. Ella Carter, Bogalusa, La.; Mrs Charles Hathorn, Mt. Olive, Mrs. Clinton Smith, Mt. Olive; Mrs. Thos. Pouncey, Mrs. Alonzo Pouncey, Seminary.
